Bringing Water to Africa - Dan Flory's Trip

The rig used to dig wells. In Dan's last trip to Africa two years ago, we took a special offering for Dan that was used towards this rig.

Here is a pump that has been repaired. Think of what a difference this pump will make in the lives of the people from this village.

The class where Dan taught. The team not only taught the men how to repair the pumps, they also taught them how to teach others to repair them. This is also the house that Dan stayed at while he was in Zambia.

This is one of the wells. If the pumps don't work on these wells there is no way to get the water out of them, which means for many they will have to go to the river to get water for their families.

Repaired well. The one man is actually pumping it to make the water flow.

Any time there was work done on a pump, the children wanted to come out and see what was going on. By the time a pump was finished there would be a line of people ready to get water.

Trip to Kenya - March 2009

Simple in theory, yet dynamic in reality. A children’s home where kids without parents might have the chance to receive education, nourishment and love; the chance to become part of a family; the chance to advance in life.

Funded by Radiant Life Church, the Mama Obed Children’s Home in Githunguri, Kenya is a place where orphans have these opportunities, and in March of 2009, a team of people from Radiant Life Church had the opportunity to contribute hands-on to the effort. The team helped construct some of the buildings, dig some of the wells, and most of all, helped to encourage the children with love.
